Support the U of I College of Medicine in Rockford

Casino Night and On-line silent auction

The RAIC has a strong, strategic relationship with the U of I College of Medicine in Rockford. The College is doing great things in Rockford, including the addition of first year medical students this year. To help support the programs and growth that the College is driving, they have an annual casino night fund raiser. This year's event will be held on September 23rd from 7-11pm at teh campus building at 1601 Parkview Avenue.

Proceeds from the event will support the College's Medical Evaluation Response Initiative Team (MERIT). MERIT is a program of the College of Medicine Rockford that provides children suspected of experiencing physical abuse, sexual abuse or neglect with timely expert medical evaluations and treatment. In addition, MERIT serves the community as a resource for child abuse prevention, research and education.

A portion of each $125 ticket will go directly to support the MERIT program. Attendees will receive casino chips that will enable them to play a variety of casino games, including blackjack, poker, craps and roulette for entertainment purposes only – they can’t win real money, but they can’t lose either. New Orleans-themed food stations, Dixieland music from the award-winning Basin Street Boys and a large silent auction will also be featured at the event.
